Khirbat Jiddin, known in the Kingdom of Jerusalem as Judin, was an Ottoman fortress in the western Upper Galilee, originally built by the Teutonic Order after 1220 as a crusader castle, 16 km northeast of the city of Acre, which at the time was the capital of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. Yehi’am Fortress is situated 3½ km west of Hatzav/Hadas.

Ma'alot-Tarshiha is a city in the North District in Israel, about 20 kilometres east of Nahariya, and about 600 metres above sea level. The city was established in 1963 through a municipal merger of the Arab town of Tarshiha and the Jewish town of Ma'alot, creating a unique type of mixed city.
