Greenknowe Tower

Greenknowe Tower is a 16th-century tower house, located just west of the village of Gordon, in the Scottish Borders. Although a roofless ruin, the stonework of the tower is well preserved, and represents a fine example of a later tower house, built more as a residence rather than as a place of defence.

Mellerstain House

Mellerstain House is a Scottish country house around 8 miles north of Kelso in the Borders, Scotland. It is currently the home of George Baillie-Hamilton, 14th Earl of Haddington, and is designated as a historical monument. Mellerstain House is situated 2½ miles south of Gordon Nether Mill.

Immediately to the south is the former village of Bassendean, with the 17th-century Bassendean House. Houndslow is situated 3½ miles northwest of Gordon Nether Mill.
