Basantapur Durbar Square

Kathmandu Durbar Square is a historically and culturally significant site in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Basantapur Durbar Square is situated 130 metres northwest of Gaurishankaar Cooperative.

Taleju Temple

Taleju Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Taleju Bhawani, the royal patron goddess of the Malla dynasty of Nepal. It was built in 1564 by Mahendra Malla and is located in Hanuman Dhoka, Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taleju Temple is situated 160 metres northwest of Gaurishankaar Cooperative.

Kasthamandap

Kasthamandap is a reconstructed temple and public shelter in Nepal, in Kathmandu Durbar Square. The original three-story wooden structure, with sections dated to the 7th century CE, was destroyed in the April 2015 Nepal earthquake along with many other culturally significant structures in the historic square. Kasthamandap is situated 280 metres west of Gaurishankaar Cooperative.

Indra Chowk

Indra Chowk or Wongha: is one of the ceremonial and market squares on the artery passing through the historic section of Kathmandu, Nepal. The intersection of Indra Chowk, along with Maru, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Makhan, Jana Baha, Asan and Naxal, mark the old India-Tibet trade route that is now a vibrant market street.

Maru is a historic neighborhood in central Kathmandu, Nepal and one of the most important cultural spots in the city. It is linked with the origin of the name Kathmandu, and forms part of what is generically known as Durbar Square, the old royal palace complexes of temples, shrines and palace buildings all of which have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
