The Citizens Theatre, known locally as the Citz, is a major producing theatre in the Gorbals area of Glasgow. Built in 1878 as Her Majesty's Theatre and designed by James Sellars, then later renamed the Royal Princess's Theatre, the venue gained its current name in 1945 when the Citizens Theatre Company relocated there.
