Porte Dauphine is the western terminus of both Line 2 of the Paris Métro and Île-de-France tramway Line T3b. It is situated in the 16th arrondissement, on the edge of the Bois de Boulogne. Avenue Foch station, served by the RER C line, is located nearby, as is Paris Dauphine University.

The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, often simply called the Arc de Triomphe, is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, France. It is located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées, at the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle—formerly known as the Place de l'Étoile—named for the star-shaped configuration formed by the convergence of twelve radiating avenues. Arc de Triomphe is situated 1¼ km east of Porte Dauphine.
