Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium is a 200-acre zoo on Huay Kaew Road in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, just west of Chiang Mai University. It is the first commercial zoo in northern Thailand, established on 16 June 1977. Chiang Mai Zoo is situated 1 km west of Humanities Library.

Wat Pa Daeng is a Buddhist temple located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Wat Pa Daeng historically served as the center for the Araññavasi forest-dwelling monks, who established a new sect at this monastery. Wat Padaeng is situated 2 km south of Humanities Library.

Wat Pha Lat, also known as Wat Sakadagami, is a Buddhist temple located on the slopes of Doi Suthep, above Chiang Mai. Founded by King Kuena of Lanna in the 14th century, Wat Pha Lat served originally as a resting place for pilgrims making the journey up to the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Wat Pha Lat is situated 2 km west of Humanities Library.
