Upnor Castle

Upnor Castle is an Elizabethan artillery fort located on the west bank of the River Medway in Kent. It is in the village of Upnor, opposite and a short distance downriver from the Chatham Dockyard, at one time a key naval facility. Upnor Castle is situated 1½ miles southeast of Haven Street.

Rochester Cathedral, formally the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary, is in Rochester, Kent, England. The cathedral is the mother church of the Church of England Diocese of Rochester and seat of the Bishop of Rochester, the second oldest bishopric in England after that of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Rochester Cathedral is situated 2½ miles south of Haven Street.

It is one of several villages on the Hoo Peninsula to bear the name Hoo, a Saxon word believed to mean "spur of land" or to refer to the "distinct heel-shape of the ridge of hills" through the settlement. Hoo St Werburgh is situated 2½ miles east of Haven Street.
