The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is the oldest voluntary hospital in Scotland. It was established in 1729. After moving to a new site in 1879, it claimed to be the largest voluntary hospital in the United Kingdom, and later, in the British Empire.

Craigmillar Castle is a ruined medieval castle in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is three miles south-east of the city centre, on a low hill to the south of the modern suburb of Craigmillar.

Craigour

Neighborhood

Moredun is a district in the south-east of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is east of Liberton, while Craigour is situated just to its north. The estate of Gut-tres or Goodtrees was the family home of James Stewart but it was renamed Moredun House in 1769 by the new owner, David Stuart Moncrieff, in recognition of a hill on his Perthshire estate.
