An ice house or icehouse is a building used to store ice throughout the year, commonly used prior to the invention of the refrigerator. It is best known as the home of the poet William Wordsworth from 1813 to his death in 1850, and his sister, the author, poet, and diarist Dorothy Wordsworth, until her death in 1855.
