The Citadel of Tripoli is a 12th-century fortress in Tripoli, Lebanon. It was built at the top of a hill "during the initial Frankish siege of the city between 1102 and 1109" on the orders of Raymond de Saint-Gilles, who baptized it the Castle of Mount Pilgrim while local Muslims have been referring to it as the Castle of Saint-Gilles. Qala’at Tarablus is situated 1¼ km west of Lebanese university- Faculty of Science III.

Bahjat Ghanem military base is the headquarters of the Lebanese Army North regional command located in Tripoli, in the North Governorate. This command was established few months after the Lebanese Army was handed to Lebanon from the French Mandate, and thus it is considered one of the oldest units in the army. Bahjat Ghanem military base is situated 250 metres north of Lebanese university- Faculty of Science III.
