Kinder Scout is a moorland plateau and National Nature Reserve in the Dark Peak of the Derbyshire Peak District in England. Part of the moor, at 636 metres above sea level, is the highest point in the Peak District, in Derbyshire and the East Midlands.

Kinder Reservoir

Kinder Reservoir is a public water storage reservoir on the western edge of Kinder Scout plateau in Derbyshire. The reservoir lies at the head of the Kinder Valley, 278 metres above sea level and 3 kilometres to the north east of the village of Hayfield. Kinder Reservoir is situated 2 miles west of Kinder Gates.

Grindslow Knoll

Grindslow Knoll is a hill in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire, England. It is joined to Kinder Scout by a high col though from most angles appears as an independent peak. Grindslow Knoll is situated 2 miles southeast of Kinder Gates.

Snake Pass is a hill pass in the Derbyshire section of the Peak District, crossing the Pennines between Glossop and the Ladybower Reservoir at Ashopton. Snake Pass is situated 2½ miles north of Kinder Gates.

Hayfield

Hayfield is a village and civil parish in the Borough of High Peak in Derbyshire. It is an attractive stone-built village on the River Sett. Hill-walking, fell-running and mountain-biking are probably the most popular activities for visitors.
