Kaohsiung Lighthouse

The Kaohsiung Lighthouse, also known as the Cihou Lighthouse, is a historic lighthouse in Cijin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Situated atop Cihou Mountain, it overlooks the entrance to the Port of Kaohsiung and has played an important role in the port’s development since the late 19th century.

The Cijin Tianhou Temple, also known as the Cihou Tianhou Temple, or Chi Jin Mazu Temple, is a temple dedicated to the Chinese Goddess Mazu, who is the Goddess of Sea and Patron Deity of fishermen, sailors and any occupations related to sea/ocean. Cijin Tianhou Temple is situated 410 metres southeast of Kaohsiung Lighthouse.
