Maesteg railway station

Maesteg railway station is one of two railway stations that serves the town of Maesteg in Wales. The British Rail 1992 built station is located in the centre of the town, adjacent to the Asda Supermarket store and on former sidings 8+1⁄4 miles north of Bridgend.

Maesteg railway station is one of two railway stations that serve the town of Maesteg in Wales. It is located adjacent to the Ewenny Road Industrial Estate to the south of Maesteg on the Maesteg Line from Cardiff via Bridgend.

The South Wales Miners' Museum is a museum of the coal mining industry and its workforce in the South Wales Coalfield. It is located at Cynonville within the Afan Forest Park Visitor Centre in the Afan Forest Park, near the small village of Cymmer in Neath Port Talbot.

Maesteg is a town and community in Bridgend County Borough, Wales. Maesteg lies at the northernmost end of the Llynfi Valley, close to the border with Neath Port Talbot.

The Afan Forest Park is a 48-square-mile forest park in Wales. It is set in the Afan Valley in Neath Port Talbot. It is well known for its mountain biking and hiking or hillwalking trails. It is situated seven miles from Junction 40 of the M4.

Llangynwyd

Llangynwyd is a village 2 miles to the south of Maesteg, in the county borough of Bridgend, Wales. There are two parts to Llangynwyd, the larger more recent village is simply known as Llangynwyd while the smaller much older part which contains St Cynwyds church is locally known as "Top Llan".
