Snowdon, or Yr Wyddfa, is a mountain in Snowdonia in North Wales. With an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level, it is the highest mountain in Wales, and the highest in the British Isles south of the Scottish Highlands.

Garnedd Ugain, the summit of Crib-y-Ddysgl ridge, is a pyramidal mountain in Wales that forms part of the Snowdon Massif. It is the second-highest peak in Wales and lies just under one kilometre north of the summit of Snowdon itself.

Rhyd Ddu

Rhyd-ddu is a small village in Snowdonia, North Wales which is a starting point for walks up Snowdon, Moel Hebog, Yr Aran and the Nantlle Ridge. It lies on the A4085 4 miles north of Beddgelert, at its junction with the B4418 to Nantlle and Penygroes. Rhyd Ddu railway station is one of the stops on the Welsh Highland Railway between Caernarfon and Porthmadog.
