Lochranza Castle is an L-plan fortified tower house situated on a promontory in Lochranza, on the northern part of the Isle of Arran in Scotland. Most of the current structure was built in the 16th century. Lochranza Castle is situated 1,800 feet east of Arran Butcher.

In 1994 Arran Distillers was founded by Harold Currie, former director of Chivas and a D-Day veteran, with the intention of building a distillery on Arran. Arran distillery is situated 1¼ miles southeast of Arran Butcher.
