Hampden Park, currently known as Barclays Hampden for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow, Scotland, which is the national stadium of football in Scotland and home of the Scotland national football team.

Muirend railway station is an island platform suburban railway station in the Muirend area of Glasgow, Scotland. The station, which opened in 1903, is managed by ScotRail and lies on the Neilston branch of the Cathcart Circle Lines.

Holmwood House is the finest and most elaborate residential villa designed by the Scottish architect Alexander "Greek" Thomson. It is also rare in retaining much of its original interior decor, and being open to the public.

Muirend is an area on the South side of Glasgow, Scotland. It is situated about 4 miles south of Glasgow city centre. Muirend became extensively urbanised in the 20th century, developing into a commuter suburb.

Cathcart is an area of Glasgow between Battlefield, Mount Florida, King's Park, Muirend and Newlands. The White Cart Water flows through Cathcart, downstream from Linn Park. In 2014, it was rated one of the most attractive postcode areas to live in Scotland.

Newlands is a suburb in the south side of Glasgow, Scotland. The area is mainly residential in character. Shawlands and Langside lie to the north of the district, Pollokshaws and Auldhouse to the west, Giffnock to the south, and Merrylee and Cathcart to the east.
