Ravensworth Castle is a ruinous Grade II* listed building and a scheduled monument situated at Lamesley, Tyne and Wear, England. The building has been destroyed and rebuilt a number of times, and was the seat of the Ravensworth barons, the Liddells. Ravensworth Castle is situated 1½ miles east of Old Sunniside.

Whickham School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Whickham in Tyne and Wear, England. Formerly known as Whickham Comprehensive School, it opened in 1962 as a replacement for the small, 'all-age' Victorian school in the village centre; a much larger school was required due to the large house-building programme that was taking place.
