Schrassig Prison

Schrassig Prison is the only closed penitentiary in Luxembourg. The prison is located near the towns of Schrassig, Sandweiler and Oetrange and is built upon land belonging to the commune of Schuttrange. Schrassig Prison is situated 2½ km southeast of Birelergrond.

The Sandweiler German war cemetery is a World War II cemetery in Sandweiler, in southern Luxembourg. It contains the graves of 10,913 German servicemen from the Battle of the Bulge in the winter of 1944 and the spring of 1945.
