Great Shunner Fell

Great Shunner Fell is the third-highest mountain in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, England, and the highest point in Wensleydale; at 716 metres above sea level. Great Shunner Fell is situated 1½ miles southwest of Blackburn Edge.

Catrake Force

Catrake Force is a waterfall on the River Swale in North Yorkshire, England. It is not visible from the road but is accessible via a campsite in Keld. It comprises a series of four steps, each its own small waterfall, and each with a very different character – the largest single drop being about 20 feet. Catrake Force is situated 2 miles northeast of Blackburn Edge.

The Buttertubs Pass is a high road in the Yorkshire Dales, England. The road winds its way north from Simonstone near Hawes towards Thwaite and Muker past 20-metre-deep limestone potholes called the Buttertubs. Buttertubs Pass is situated 2 miles south of Blackburn Edge.

The village lies on the B6270 road that runs through Swaledale from east to west and is 9.3 miles west of Reeth. Thwaite is situated 1½ miles east of Blackburn Edge.

Keld

Keld is a tiny village in North Yorkshire, near the head of the valley of the River Swale in the Yorkshire Dales. The river cascades down from the Pennines in a series of waterfalls, and several long-distance hiking trails pass through.
