The University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene is a university located in the town of Bab-Ezzouar 15 kilometres from Algiers, Algeria. The university was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated in 1974. University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene is situated 2½ km south of EURL DEVALIT.

Opened in April 2019, it houses the world's tallest minaret and is the third-largest mosque in the world after the Great Mosque of Mecca and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi of Medina in Saudi Arabia.
