The National Library is the flagship national library of Singapore. A subsidiary of the National Library Board, it consists of twin 16-storey blocks, linked by bridges on the upper floors, with three underground basements located on an 11,304-square-metre prime location in Victoria Street within the Downtown Core. National Library is situated 150 metres northeast of UOB.

Raffles Hotel is a historic luxury hotel at 1 Beach Road, in Singapore. It was established by Armenian hoteliers, the Sarkies Brothers, in 1887. The hotel was named after British colonial official Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore. Raffles Hotel is situated 220 metres southeast of UOB.
