Its 931-metre summit is traditionally considered to be the fourth-highest peak but depending on what topographic prominence is thought to be significant is also variously ranked as the third- and the sixth-highest in England. Skiddaw is situated 2½ miles southeast of Low Melbecks.

Little Cockup is a fell in the Northern Fells area of the Lake District, Cumbria, England. It is located in the Uldale Fells, about 5 kilometres north of Skiddaw, near the larger fell of Great Cockup 1 kilometre to the east, and has an elevation of 395 metres. Little Cockup is situated 1½ miles northeast of Low Melbecks.
