Souther Fell

Souther Fell is a fell in the English Lake District. It stands to the south of Mungrisdale village in the Northern Fells. It is most famous for the appearance of a "spectral army", said to have been seen marching along its crest on Midsummer's Day, 1745.

Mosedale Viaduct

The Mosedale Viaduct carried the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway over Mosedale Beck until its closure in 1972. Building work on the viaduct began in 1862, and the first test train crossed it in 1864.

Blencathra

Blencathra, also known as Saddleback, is one of the most northerly of the Cumbrian Mountains, in the English Lake District. It has six separate fell tops, of which the highest is the Hallsfell Top at 2,848 feet. Blencathra is situated 2½ miles west of Waterhouse.

It lies within the Lake District, the civil parish of Hutton, and the unitary authority of Westmorland and Furness Great Mell Fell is situated immediately to the east of Troutbeck. Troutbeck is situated 1½ miles east of Waterhouse.
