Garraun at 598 metres, is the 224th–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin scale, however, while it is just short of the elevation threshold of 600-metres for other classifications, it does have the prominence to be a Marilyn.

Kylemore Abbey

Kylemore Abbey is a Benedictine Monastery founded in 1920 on the grounds of Kylemore Castle, in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland. The Abbey was founded for Benedictine nuns who fled Belgium in World War 1. Kylemore Abbey is situated 3½ km southwest of Barrlugwaum.

Tully Cross

Tully Cross is a small village located on the Renvyle Peninsula in north-west Connemara, in County Galway, Ireland. It is actually situated in the townland of Gorteenclough. The village lies close to the sea and is on the Wild Atlantic Way coastal route. Tully Cross is situated 7 km west of Barrlugwaum.

Letterfrack

Letterfrack is a village on the coast of Connemara in County Galway, with a population of about 200. In Irish Leitir means a rock-strewn hillside and fraic means speckled, referring to the bright quartzite rocks.

Delphi is a locality in County Mayo, Ireland. Its English name was coined by the Marquis of Sligo, who built a hunting lodge there It is located on the Owengar River that connects Fin Lough to Doo Lough, between the fjord of Killary Harbour to the south and the Sheeffry Hills to the north, in a valley surrounded by the Mweelrea Mountains and the neighbouring peaks of Ben Creggan and Ben Gorm. Delphi is situated 9 km northeast of Barrlugwaum.
