The Eger minaret is an Ottoman-era minaret tower located in Eger city, northern Hungary. It is one of the most northern minarets left from Ottoman rule in Europe. Eger Minaret is situated 3 km south of Birka.

The Nagy-Eged Hill is an emblematic wine producing site. It is Hungary’s highest altitude terroir. Based on its unique location, soil composition and climate, it is the most valuable terroir in the region. It is Eger’s Grand Cru terroir. Nagy-Eged Hill is situated 2½ km east of Birka.
