Motu Nui

Motu Nui is the largest of the islets located off the southwestern coast of Easter Island and constitutes the westernmost point of Chile. Covering an area of 3.9 hectares, it is the summit of a submerged volcanic mountain that rises over 2,000 meters from the seafloor. Motu Nui is situated 3 km southwest of Te Vae Roa.

Motu Iti

Motu Iti, or Little island in the Rapa Nui language, is a small uninhabited islet near Motu Nui, about a mile from Rano Kau on the south western corner of Easter Island, a Chilean island in the Pacific. Motu Iti is situated 2½ km southwest of Te Vae Roa.

Orongo

Orongo is a stone village and ceremonial center at the southwestern tip of Rapa Nui. It consists of a collection of low, sod-covered, windowless, round-walled buildings with even lower doors positioned on the high south-westerly tip of the large volcanic caldera called Rano Kau.

Hanga Roa

Hanga Roa is the main town, harbour, and seat of Easter Island, a municipality of Chile. It is located in the southern part of the island's west coast, in the lowlands between the extinct volcanoes of Terevaka and Rano Kau. Hanga Roa is situated 4½ km north of Te Vae Roa.
