Dunvegan Castle is located 1 mile to the north of Dunvegan on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of Scotland. It is the seat of the MacLeod of MacLeod, chief of the Clan MacLeod.

Dunvegan is a village on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It is famous for Dunvegan Castle, seat of the chiefs of Clan MacLeod. Dunvegan is within the parish of Duirinish. In 2011, it had a population of 386.

Colbost is the first of a straggle of tiny settlements on the Duirnish Peninsula in the northwest of Skye. The others are Totaig, Glendale, Lephin and Milovaig, then the road dead-ends.

Stein is a small settlement on Waternish, the middle peninsula of the north coast of Skye, in the Scottish Hebrides. It's scenic but tiny. More visitor facilities can be found a few miles east at Edinbane, which lies along the main road between Portree and Dunvegan.
