The Monastery of Great Lavra is the first monastery built on Mount Athos, on the Athos peninsula in geographical Macedonia, northeastern Greece. It is located on the southeastern foot of the Mount at an elevation of 160 metres. Great Lavra is situated 3½ km north of Vigla, Mount Athos.

Kerasia is a settlement in Mount Athos. It is located at an elevation of 581 metres on the southwestern slopes of the main peak of Mount Athos. Located just to the east of Little St. Anne's Skete and Katounakia, it is inhabited by a few dozen monks. Kerasia is situated 6 km west of Vigla, Mount Athos.
