The Ryugyong Hotel, or Yu-Kyung Hotel, is a 330 m tall unfinished pyramid-shaped skyscraper in Pyongyang, North Korea. Its name is also one of the historical names for Pyongyang. Ryugyong Hotel is situated 1 km northeast of Hwanggŭmbŏl.

Potongmun is the western gate of the inner system of the walled city of Pyongyang. It was originally built in the sixth century as an official Koguryo construction, and was later rebuilt in 1473. Potongmun is situated 1½ km east of Hwanggŭmbŏl.

Pyongyang Gymnasium, also known as Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, is an indoor sporting arena located in Pyongyang, North Korea. The capacity of the arena is for 20,100 people and it was opened in 1973. Pyongyang Sports Complex is situated 1 km southeast of Hwanggŭmbŏl.
