The Mosque of Omar is a mosque, located inside the Old City of Jerusalem. Situated opposite the southern courtyard of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, in the Muristan area of the Christian Quarter, the mosque is not open to tourists, and can be accessed only for praying.

The Dome of the Rock is an octagonal Islamic shrine at the center of the Al-Aqsa mosque compound on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is the world's oldest surviving work of Islamic architecture, the earliest archaeologically-attested religious structure to be built by a Muslim ruler and contains the earliest inscriptions proclaiming Islam and the prophet Muhammad. Dome of the Rock is situated 570 metres east of Arch of the Virgin Mary.
