Putte is part of the Dutch municipality of Woensdrecht, and had 3751 inhabitants as of 1 January 2008. The village lies on and extends over the border between the Netherlands and Belgium, the Belgian part being Putte, Kapellen. Putte is situated 4½ km south of Mont Noir.
