Dram is a town in Xigatse Prefecture. At 2350 m above sea level, it belongs more to the world of Nepal than the high plateau of Tibet.

Kodari is a small Nepali village located at the border with Tibet, China. The village is located at the end–point of the Arniko Highway, which connects Kodari with the capital city of Kathmandu. Kodāri is situated 3½ km southwest of Chinese border post.
