John Weston Nature Reserve

John Weston Nature Reserve is a 3.6-hectare nature reserve north of Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex. It is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust. This site is named after its former warden, who died in 1984.

The Hanoverian tower, more commonly known as the Naze Tower, is situated at the start of the open area of the Naze. It was a navigational tower, constructed to assist ships on this otherwise fairly feature-less coast.

The Naze is a headland on the east coast of England. It is on the coast of Essex just north of Blackwater and projects into the North Sea. This area is south of the double estuary of the River Stour and River Orwell at Harwich and just north of the town of Walton-on-the-Naze.

Frinton-on-Sea is a small seaside town in the Tendring district of Essex. It had an estimated population of 4,800 in 2016. It is part of the Parish of Frinton and Walton. Walton-on-the-Naze is situated 1½ miles south of Walton Hall Marshes.
