Mount Meron, also known as Mount Jarmaq or Jebel Jarmaq, is a mountain in the Upper Galilee region of Israel. It has special significance in Jewish religious tradition and parts of it have been declared a nature reserve.
Khirbet Shema
Archaeological site
Khirbet Shema is an archaeological site located in Israel at the foot of Mount Meron. It features the ruins of a large Jewish village of the Roman and Byzantine periods, including the remains of an ancient synagogue and a mausoleum. Khirbet Shema is situated 3½ km southeast of Lebanon Observatory.
