Lismore is an island ten miles north of Oban in the sea inlet of Loch Linnhe. It's one of the Inner Hebrides islands, but little developed for tourism, and overlooked by visitors who sail by on the ferries.

Eilean Musdile is an islet, and lighthouse to the south west of Lismore in the Inner Hebrides. The island lies in the entrance to Loch Linnhe, separated from Lismore by a sound ¼ miles across.

Craignure is a village on the island of Mull, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. It's a tiny place with a population of perhaps 200, but it's the main point of arrival on Mull, by ferry from Oban.

Oban is a town in Argyll and Bute on the northwest coast of Scotland. It's a transport hub and most visitors are passing through on the way to the Hebrides, only staying overnight if ferry / train schedules make that necessary; conversely, Hebrideans come here for shopping and other necessities.
