Barr Castle is a late medieval tower house. It can be seen today as a ruin on a low ridge to the south of the village of Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, Scotland. Barr Castle is situated 2½ miles east of Glengarnock Castle.

The substantial remains of the old castle and sixteenth century manor house of Kilbirnie lie west of the town of Kilbirnie in North Ayrshire, Scotland, on the lower slopes of the Glengarnock Hills, in the old Barony of Kilbirnie. Barony and Castle of Kilbirnie is situated 2 miles south of Glengarnock Castle.

Kilbirnie Loch is a freshwater Loch situated in the floodplain between Kilbirnie, Glengarnock and Beith, North Ayrshire, Scotland. It runs south-west to north-east for almost 2 km, is about 0.5 km wide for the most part and has an area of roughly 3 km2. Kilbirnie Loch is situated 2½ miles southeast of Glengarnock Castle.
