Dimbola was the home and workplace of the Victorian pioneer photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, where she lived from 1860 to 1875 on the Isle of Wight It is now a museum and galleries dedicated to her life and work which also showcases contemporary exhibitions of photographers from around the world.
Yarmouth Castle

Yarmouth Castle is an artillery fort built by Henry VIII in 1547 to protect Yarmouth Harbour on the Isle of Wight from the threat of French attack. Just under 100 feet across, the square castle was initially equipped with 15 artillery guns and a garrison of 20 men.

Freshwater Redoubt, also known as Fort Redoubt, is an old Palmerston fort built in Freshwater Bay on the western end of the Isle of Wight. Construction work for the fort began in 1855 and was completed in 1856.

Yarmouth is an attractive little town at the western tip of the Isle of Wight, just offshore of the South East of England. Everything in Yarmouth seems to be on a small scale; small narrow streets nestle against a small castle and harbour, and the ferry terminal is actually built against the castle walls.
