Pioneer Sector is part of the Jurong Industrial Estate which is the largest industrial estate in Singapore. Pioneer Sector comprises Pioneer Sectors 1, 2, 3, Pioneer Sector Walk, Pioneer Sector Lane and Gul Road and is bounded by Pioneer Road on the North, Tuas Basin on the West, Selat Jurong on the South and Gul Basin on the East.Places of Interest

Joo Koon MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit station along the East–West Line in Pioneer planning area, Singapore. Joo Koon station is named after Joo Koon Village, a rural Chinese settlement that once stood in the area before it was turned into an industrial estate in the 1960s. Joo Koon is situated 3½ km northeast of Pioneer Sector.
