Meitar is a small local council north-east of Beersheba, in Israel's Southern District. The town lies on Highway 60 just south of the Green Line on the southern edge of Mount Hebron, alongside the Yatir Forest. Meitar is situated 3½ km southwest of Hurvat Hiran.

Teneh Omarim also known as Tene, Omarim, or Ma'ale Omarim, is an Israeli settlement organized as a community settlement in the West Bank. Located east of the Israeli West Bank barrier, 2.3 kilometers from the Green line in the southern Hebron Hills just north of Meitar, it falls under the jurisdiction of Har Hevron Regional Council. Teneh Omarim is situated 3½ km north of Hurvat Hiran.
