Wild Boar Fell is a mountain in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, on the eastern edge of Cumbria, England. At 2,323 feet, it is either the fourth- or fifth-highest fell in the Yorkshire Dales, depending on whether nearby High Seat is counted.

Swarth Fell is an approximately 1-mile stretch of high ground situated to the south of Wild Boar Fell, of which it is a continuation. It is mostly within Mallerstang, Cumbria, but the boundary between Cumbria and North Yorkshire runs along its length, just to the west of the highest points. Swarth Fell is situated 2½ miles southeast of Dale Stack.

Mallerstang is a civil parish in the extreme east of Cumbria, and, geographically, a dale at the head of the upper Eden Valley. Originally part of Westmorland, it lies about 6 miles south of the nearest town, Kirkby Stephen. Mallerstang is situated 2½ miles east of Dale Stack.

Ravenstonedale is a village and large civil parish in Cumbria, on the watershed between the River Lune and River Eden. The village lies 4 miles south west of Kirkby Stephen. The parish includes the village of Newbiggin-on-Lune and several smaller settlements including Bowderdale, Brownber, Greenside, Stennerskeugh, Wath and Weasdale. Ravenstonedale is situated 3 miles northwest of Dale Stack.

Outhgill is a hamlet in Mallerstang, Cumbria, England. It lies about 5 miles south of Kirkby Stephen. It is the main hamlet in the dale of Mallerstang which retains the Norse pattern of its original settlement: a series of small hamlets and isolated houses, with no village centre. Outhgill is situated 3 miles east of Dale Stack.
