The Nilgiris are a range of mountains at the western fringes of . It is a part of the , connecting the mountain range to the Eastern Ghats.

is a famous hill station that is 17 km from in , . It is probably the second most popular hill station in the Nilgiris. The hill station stands at a height of 1,839 metres and is known for its great picnic spots and picturesque surroundings.
