is the capital of the Northern Cape Province of . Amongst other things, it is famous for its Big Hole, the world's largest hand-dug excavation that was created when thousands of people searched for diamonds at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries.

is a town on the Orange River in the region of Northern Cape province. It was established in 1991 as an "Afrikaner-only" settlement, although anyone is welcome to visit.

is the next biggest city in Northern Cape Province after Kimberley and a good starting point to the famous Falls. The town is situated on the banks of the Orange River.
