The Snowy Mountains, nicknamed the Snowies, is a region in Southeastern New South Wales. Yarrangobilly Caves

The Yarrangobilly Caves are a set of caves smack bang in the middle of Kosciuszko National Park, in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. The region has some caves that have been forming for around from a few hundred thousand years old all the way back to several million years.
Thredbo

Thredbo is a village and ski resort within Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales. It is located on the Alpine Way and is 1380 metres above sea level.
Cooma

Cooma is a town on the way to the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales. It has all the services you expect and need, but it is also a regional centre, and has a fair share of attractions of interest to a visitor passing through, or staying for a while.

Tumut is a town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia, situated on the banks of the Tumut River. Tumut sits on the north-west foothills of the Snowy Mountains and is located on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri, Wolgalu and Ngunnawal Aboriginal peoples.
Jindabyne

Jindabyne is a small town in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales, Australia. Jindabyne is just below the snow line and essentially acts as a dormitory for the ski fields in the winter, especially for Perisher.
Bombala

Bombala is a pretty and historic town in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. If planning a trip between Sydney and Melbourne, the route through Bombala gives an interesting mix of coastal and mountain scenery, in addition to allowing for a visit to Australia's capital city.
Tumbarumba

Tumbarumba is a small timber town of 1500 at the western edge of the Snowy Mountains. Tumbarumba doesn't have much going for it, but the annual Tumbafest brings it a decent amount of visitors.
Adaminaby

One of Australia's highest towns is often an overlooked one. Perched at 1,017 metres, Adaminaby in the lower Snowy Mountains of New South Wales is both a town of success and failure.

Nimmitabel
