The Neman, Nioman, Nemunas, Niemen, or Memel, is a river in Europe that rises in central Belarus and flows through Lithuania then forms the northern border of Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia's western exclave, which specifically follows its southern channel.

The Queen Louise Bridge is a bridge over the Neman River on the Lithuania–Russia border, that connects the Lithuanian town of Panemunė and the Russian city of Sovetsk. It is named after Queen Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

Panemunė is the smallest settlement with city status in Lithuania. It is situated on the banks of the Nemunas River opposite Sovetsk, 8 km south from Pagėgiai, in Tauragė County.

Pagėgiai is a town in south-western Lithuania. It is located in the medieval region of Scalovia in the historic region of Lithuania Minor. It is the capital of Pagėgiai municipality, and as such it is part of Tauragė County. Pagėgiai is situated 6 km north of Sovetsk.
