Springfield is a town of 9,400 people in along the Black River. In 2007, the city was selected to host the premiere of The Simpsons Movie after winning a contest to find the Springfield that most closely resembled the town featured in the movie and TV show.

The is a historic house at 30 Orchard Street in Springfield, Vermont. Built in 1904, it is one Vermont's relatively small number of high-style Shingle style houses.
