Bashkortostan or Bashkiria is a region in the foothills of the Ural Mountains, bordering Tatarstan to the west, Udmurtia to the northwest, Perm Krai to the north, Sverdlovsk Oblast to the northeast, Chelyabinsk Oblast to the east, and Orenburg Oblast to the south.

Sverdlovsk Oblast is a region in Russia's Urals Region. Set right in the middle of the Urals region, Sverdlovsk Oblast borders seven other regions; Khantia-Mansia to the northeast, Tyumen Oblast to the east, Kurgan Oblast to the southeast, Chelyabinsk Oblast to the south, Bashkortostan to the southwest, Perm Krai to the west, and the Komi Republic to the northwest.

Chelyabinsk Oblast is in the Urals region of Russia. It borders Kurgan Oblast to the northeast, Kazakhstan to the east, Orenburg Oblast to the south, Bashkortostan to the west, and Sverdlovsk Oblast to the north.
Khantia-Mansia

Khantia-Mansia, officially known as Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and historically known as Yugra, is an autonomous okrug in Russia's Urals Region. The region borders Yamalia to the north, the Krasnoyarsk region to the east, Tomsk Oblast to the southeast, Tyumen Oblast and Sverdlovsk Oblast to the south, and Komi Republic to the west.

Tyumen Oblast is a region in Russia's Urals Region. The region borders Khantia-Mansia in the northwest and north, has a short border with Tomsk Oblast in the northeast, borders Omsk Oblast to the east, Kazakhstan to the south, Kurgan Oblast to the southwest, and Sverdlovsk Oblast to the west.
Orenburg Oblast

Orenburg Oblast is a region in the foothills of the Ural Mountains, on the border with Kazakhstan. In addition the region borders Samara Oblast to the west, Tatarstan to the northwest, Bashkortostan to the north, and Chelyabinsk Oblast to the northeast.
