Kikar HaMedina is the largest plaza in Tel Aviv. Around the plaza, which was designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer, there is a circular street, He Be'Iyar Street, connecting with two major streets: the north–south Weizmann Street, and the east–west Jabotinsky Street, as well as a number of small streets. Kikar Hamedina is situated 430 metres south of Bet HaHayal.

Eretz Israel Museum, established in 1953 as the Haaretz Museum, has a large display of archaeological, anthropological and historical artifacts organized in a series of exhibition pavilions on its grounds. Eretz Israel Museum is situated 1¼ km north of Bet HaHayal.
