The Italian Hospital in Haifa is a medical center administered by the National Association for Assistance to Italian Missionaries. Inaugurated at the current location in 1932-33, the hospital is run by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who are providing the nursing staff which is also residing in the hospital. Italian Hospital is situated 550 metres east of Dror.

The Shrine of the Báb is a structure on the slopes of Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel, where the remains of the Báb, founder of the Bábí Faith and forerunner of Baháʼu'lláh in the Baháʼí Faith, are buried; it is considered to be the second holiest place on Earth for Baháʼís, after the Shrine of Baháʼu'lláh in Acre.
