Frösö Runestone

Frösöstenen is the northernmost raised runestone in Scandinavia and Jämtland's only runestone. It originally stood at the tip of ferry terminal on the sound between the island of Frösön and Östersund. Frösö Runestone is situated 1 km northeast of Käringbacken.

Östersund Central Station or Östersund C is the main railway station serving Östersund, Sweden. It is located on the Middle Line and the Inland Line and is served by SJ, Norrtåg, Snälltåget and Inlandsbanan- Trains leave for Stockholm a couple of times per day and once a day by Inlandsbanan to Gällivare or to Mora. Östersund Central Station is situated 1½ km southeast of Käringbacken.
