Villa Stenersen in Oslo was designed by architect Arne Korsmo for the financier, art collector and author Rolf Stenersen and his family in 1939. The house was intended to serve both as a residence and as a gallery for his large art collection, and is considered as one of the main works of architecture in the Norwegian functionalist style. Villa Stenersen is situated 600 metres east of Smestad fire- and ambulance station.

Smestad is a station shared by the Røa Line and the Kolsås Line on the Oslo T-bane system. Although the two lines continue to share track some time after Smestad, passing the former station of Sørbyhaugen which was also shared, they diverge before passing another station. Smestad station is situated 350 metres southwest of Smestad fire- and ambulance station.
